Tis the SEASON to go SHOPPING... and be GENEROUS

..... FA LA LA LALA LALA LA LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Excuse the empty Cart. Hahahaha

Mark and I are having a blast thinking of what to buy as gifts for our families and friends.

But we started buying as early as July of this year because we hate the Christmas rush. While we were busy preparing for our wedding, we stole a bit of shopping time for Christmas which was monthsssss away that time.

But despite the installment basis of buying gifts, we still came in short! Hahahaha! So for the past few days were all about buying gifts for (insert name here) and also for the kids of (insert their names here) and also our godchildren.

I admit, Mark and I have been busy since we got married last September (we are still in the adjustment stage by the way) but that never stopped us from sneaking some shopping time to buy gifts. There is just something about Christmas that makes me feel so generous. And why not? I have been so blessed this year.

This year a lot has happened... I got engaged in February, travelled back to Jakarta (one of my favorite countries, btw) in March, Turned 26 in July, got married to the love of my life in September and got my CBA bonus just this month of December.

So I have a lot of reasons to be thankful for aside from those mentioned above. Having family and friends around me is just on top of the list!

If only I can do more than just give simple gifts to family and friends.

Random Act of Kindness (RAOK) 01/28/2015

I have always had this problem of me not being able to finish my food. Yesterday, it happened to me once again.

I ordered PALABOK from my officemate's mother. It was so yummy but I was only able to finish like one-fourth of it.

I never throw food away. That's a big no-no! What I usually do is that I keep my food until I get home and give it to my dog but then I realized that aside from the fact that the Palabok would be spoiled by the time I get home, my dog has the luxury of eating more than three times a day. Some people don't even have this.

So I thought about giving my Palabok to somebody who probably hasn't even eaten yet... to somebody who is not able to eat three times a day.

I had lots of work but I survived the day with a happy heart because of this.

Let's do good deeds everyday. Be a blessing to others.

Cleaning out my closet

So it was one fine Sunday when I had nothing to do at home. I was bored as ever and there were no good shows on televisions. So I decided to check my closet out and clean some stuff up (which was so not like me because I am usually lazy during weekends, haha!)

It was a good decision to do so because I "unearthed" clothes that I have not seen in ages! As I was rummaging through my pile of clothing that apparently became unnoticed for a year or so, I found these clothes that I could definitely use today!

Denim Cut offs (these were actually from jeans that I owned back in High School)

These are just some of the clothes that I recently discovered to still be of use, based on my size today. Hahahahaha.

Anyway, I'm glad I cleaned my closet because this is what the pile of clothes looked like before I decided to do some minor arranging.

I stored them in a big IBOX and this is the aftermath :)

Cleaning up isn't so bad after all. I guess something good also comes out of it :)

Food Trip: MunchTown Diner at SM Lanang Davao

My friends and I tried out Munchtown Diner at SM Lanang Davao.

I have passed by this place many times before but never had a chance to try that place until that day.

My New Favorite! Salted Caramel MilkShake on the left, and I think that's Chocolate Cookie MilkShake on the right ordered by my friend, Iris - Php 190

What I ordered - Double Cheeseburger. Heaven in every bite

SLIDERS :)

Prices are a bit expensive compared to other diners I have tried in the country but the food will definitely not disappoint. I will definitely come back, especially for the Salted Caramel Milk Shake!

Why it was fun to celebrate New Year's Eve at SM Lanang Vikings, Davao City

I consider myself lucky. Why? Well, both my mother and boyfriend have the same birthday - December 31, and since SM Lanang Vikings opened in Davao City, it has been a known practice/tradition to celebrate one's birthday there because of the generous promo that they have and the fun dance number that the staff does to entertain the birthday celebrants.

Right now, the birthday promo goes like this - the celebrant eats for free as long as there is AT LEAST one full paying adult that accompanies him or her ON THE DAY OF THE BIRTHDAY. If the celebrant cannot come to Vikings on the day of his or her birthday, he or she can still eat there for free any day of the birth month AS LONG AS THERE IS AT LEAST FOUR FULL PAYING ADULTS that accompany the celebrant.

In our case during my mom and my boyfriend's birthday and since there were 5 of us (including myself, my sister and my dad), we were only billed with the amount that is good for three persons. The regular rate in Vikings is P 788 plus a 5 percent service charge = P 827.40; P 827.40 x 3 = P2,482.20/5 = P496.44.

Because of the promo, it was as if we only paid roughly 500 pesos per head. Not that bad of a deal considering all the delicacies plus desserts that we were able to devour during that night.

There was a bartending intermission number by one of the staff. He was good!

Plus, two other staff also entertained the guests with a Christmas themed medley dance number.

This is also what Vikings is known for. They entertain the celebrants' with a song and dance number. Plus the celebrants' get to wear cool viking-like hats. Oh, and they get a small cake too.

Plus during that day, each of the customers were given a goody bag filled with detergent and shampoo and there was even a toothbrush and toothpaste set inside. Hurray for freebies!

My family and I had fun spending New Years Eve plus Birthday at Vikings. There's a big possibility that we will celebrate there again come New Years Even this year. But that's like 11 months from now. Hahaha..

Quick OOTDs - The Compilation

Sometimes when I go out, I take short videos of what I wore that particular day and post them on youtube.

Here are some of the videos featuring my OOTD... that day! hahaha

I used my Iphone 4s to take these videos. Kinda frustrated though that when I view them on my phone they are perfectly fine. But after uploading them on youtube, the videos tend to get a bit grainy and blurred. Meh. Just as long as the outfits could be seen. I have made youtube my personal fashion diary. So that I would be able to remember what I previously wore.

Random Act of Kindness (RAOK) - 10142014

This morning, I didn't have coins inside my purse. I asked the tricycle driver if he had change for 50 pesos. He said he didn't have any and I was his first passenger for the day. So I told him to halt at Julie's Bakeshop before going to the Jeepney terminal. He obliged. I bought a big pandesal (plain bread) worth 5 pesos and I was able to have my 50 peso bill changed.

When I arrived at the Jeepney terminal, I gave him the 7 Pesos fare plus the Pandesal. He was hesitant to accept the food at first. I knew he was shy about taking it. I just told him that I already had my breakfast and I was full. I handed the bread over to him and he thanked me... telling me he didn't have his breakfast yet.

I smiled. Got out of the tricycle and hopped on the next Jeep going downtown.

It's nice to make somebody's day with simple acts.
