I've lived in Davao City all my life and I can definitely say that I am very impressed with the changes in the last 27 years. Before, Davao was just really simple and with less inhabitants compared to other cities in the northern and central part of the country. But now, Davao is getting to be more progressive and more competitive.
I have also noticed that the population in the city has grown over the last couple of years. I have had classmates who moved from this city and that province and those immigrants increase in number every single year. Because of this, it's quite hard to find lots and houses in the metro and even on nearby subdivisions.
Thank goodness for condominiums. Why not, right? They are basically space savers - housing many families on top of one area. If the lots where condominiums are built only put up houses, I bet only a few families could be accommodated (like let's say around 4 or 5). With condominiums, it's way more than that and at a per floor basis even.
Aside from having condominiums as residences, these are also good targets for investment. Enter VERDON PARC
Mark and I were able to visit DMCI's project in Davao a month before Verdon Parc invited the Davao Bloggers Society since we were searching for an investment. Good thing one of my schoolmates, Ate Leah, was one of the agents there and she was able to give us a good tour of the place.
We both fell in love with the place to the point that we wanted to get one so badly at that moment (but of course, we had to consult a few people first before making that big decision). And come the visit with Davao Bloggers Society, I personally fell MORE IN LOVE with the place.
Verdon Parc already has a set of unit owners residing at their first and only mid-rise building called MARTEL. This building consists of less than 200 units of 1 and 2 bedroom units. The development will feature three more towers Belvedere, Trevans and Maurin - which are all higher compared to Martel and have a great view of both the outdoor amenities of Verdon Parc and also Samal Island as well.
Another reason why I like Verdon Parc so much is because of their Lumiventt design. Imagine sacrificing a few units that could have turned into profit just so that the building will have the ample amount of air for circulation. It really goes to show that the company is not all about profit. They are also after the comfort of the unit owners.
Allow me to show you through my simple snapshots as to why Mark and I (especially ME) fell in love with Verdon Parc.
THE UNITS
These are photos taken from their showroom. Just imagine how these once simple units transformed into such cozy and livable places. They have one-two-three bedroom units.
Verdon Parc's one bedroom units are perfect for students, bachelors and single ladies. The two-bedroom units are idea for students or individuals who want to share living space. It is also idea for newlyweds. The three bedroom units are just perfect for families and also for "barkadas" who want to live together. Talk about #barkadagoals
VISITORS' AREA
This is the visitors' area of Verdon Parc. Obviously since the condo units are too small to accommodate a lot of visitors, this is the place where a unit owner can do so. There's also a cafe where the unit owners and the guests can buy food and drinks and enjoy these while chatting to their hearts content.
AMENITIES
Reflection Area - it's nice to stop by this area and literally reflect and just chill for a few minutes while reading a book or listening to music |
So how about an Olympic sized pool, a lounge pool and two kiddie pools all in one place? Unbelievable right? Well, they have all four of those right there at Verdon Parc. Imagine telling your friends, "Pare, I have four pools in my backyard". Now that's something.
They also have a gym located at MARTEL building but I was not able to visit it.

This is DMCI's first foray into the exciting Davao Real Estate Market. The company aims to give clients this type of dream setting with genuine resort-inspired design that goes well with Davao's culture and environment.
DMCI Homes AVP for Project and Development, Mr. Dennis Yap, says that the company wants the residents to appreciate the city's natural splendor while enjoying the convenience and benefits of modern amenities. "While DMCI Homes is known for building resort-inspired communities, creating one that could blend well with a tropical paradise like Davao City was really a challegne because we didn't want to sacrifice the laid-back lifestyle vibe the city is known for.", Mr. Yap added.
