We are currently living in a world wherein we don't need to wait for several weeks for an International show to visit our television screens here in the Philippines. One example of a show that will air in the country just around 24 hours after its initial US broadcast is none other than MR. ROBOT, which starts on October 12 of this year.
And this is all thanks to IFLIX, the world's leading entertainment service for emerging markets.
ABOUT THE SHOW - MR. ROBOT
MR. ROBOT is a critically acclaimed and multi-award-winning
series which follows Elliott Alderson, played by Emmy winner Rami Malek, a
cyber-security engineer who, along with Mr. Robot (Golden Globe®
winner Christian Slater) and underground hacker group,
fsociety, starts a revolution to change the world.
Picking up immediately following the Season 2
cliffhanger, Season 3 will focus and explore each character’s motivations and the
disintegration between Elliott and Mr. Robot.
The series also stars Portia Doubleday (Angela Moss),
Carly Chaikin (Darlene), Stephanie Corneliussen (Joanna Wellick), Martin Wallström
(Tyrell Wellick), Grace Gummer (Dominique DiPierro), Michael Cristofer (Philipp
Price) and Emmy® Award nominee, BD Wong, who revive their roles in
the new season. Emmy® winner Bobby Cannavale (Boardwalk Empire) also joins the cast as Irving, a laconic,
no-nonsense used car salesman.
From Universal Cable Productions, Mr. Robot hails
from writer and executive producer Sam Esmail (Comet) as
well as Anonymous Content executive producers Steve Golin (True Detective)
and Chad Hamilton (Breakup at a Wedding).
“Fast-tracked from the United States, Mr. Robot
continues to push boundaries, challenging audiences and confronting fans with
the realities of living in the digital age. Sam Esmail is a creative visionary
and we are thrilled to bring the latest instalment of his work, available to
stream and download, exclusively to our subscribers in Asia. Following the
tremendous success of Seasons 1 and 2 on iflix, we look forward to joining
Elliot in the next phase of his journey.” - Sean Carey (iflix Group Chief Content Officer)
