Food Trip: TINY KITCHEN, Torres, Davao City

My sister and boyfriend had lunch with my uncle and aunt at Tiny Kitchen before they left for Manila that same day.

It wasn't my first time to dine there but the experience is just superb during each and every visit.

Tiny Kitchen is known for the delicious Paellas that they serve. They are owned by the Rodriguez Spouses.

We couldn't pick one kind of Paella from their menu so we chose to order 2 - PAELLA NEGRA and AL A CAZADOR (we ordered these in SMALL which was good for 2 -3 persons)

PAELLA NEGRA topped with seafoods
AL A Cazador - topped with beef, chicken, duck and panceta

Aside from these two, we also tried their BEEF SALPICAO and OSSO BUCO.

Beef Salpicao with their specialty bread.

Osso Buco - new favorite!

Let's not forget the refreshments

I just love this drink that's made of lemon, cucumber and orange.

Strawberry Juice ordered by my sister

Now for desserts

Sam's Bonfire Cake

Frozen Mango Brazo

Frozen Choco Brazo

The Paellas that Tiny Kitchen serves come in different sizes - Extra Small, Small, Medium, Large and XLarge. They also serve pastas and sandwiches as well but we were not able to try some of them. The desserts served at Tiny Kitchen are also sold in Dulce Vida, also owned by the Rodriguezes.

love this bunch :) #FAMILY

Tiny Kitchen is located at Torres Street, Davao City - beside Holiday Spa and Gym. And Dulce Vida is located at Ecoland, Davao City.... right in front of SM CITY Davao, Quimpo Boulevard.

Food Trip: Crazy Cravings at Jacinto Extension, Davao City

My friend Iris and I decided to eat at Crazy Cravings for our holidate

Crazy Cravings is basically MEXICAN THEMED and they served Burritos and Chili con Carne over there.

We ordered their BESTSELLER which was Beef Quesadillas.

VERDICT: Okay so we were only able to eat this one out of the few delectables they offered. And I loved it! Not surprised why this is their bestseller. I'm not really a fan of vegetables but since it was generously cheesy, it kind of balanced the taste. Plus, I love cheese! So yeah... must try!

DOWNER: They do not sell softdrinks. I don't know if it is because of the holiday rush and stocks ran low but we didn't see SOFTDRINKS on their menu. The only drinks we saw were MILK TEA and FRUIT TEA. So we wanted milk tea but they didn't have any stock. So we ordered Fruit Tea (Wintermelon) - I didn't really like it and barely finished my drink.

We also had fun with their Mexican Hats. OLE!

Will I come back? Sure! I'll bring my boyfriend with me next time and let him have a taste of Mexican as well.

Crazy Cravings is located at Jacinto Extension, Davao City, beside Kopi Roti.

Shopping Haul from NCCC Department Store

Before going home today, I dropped by at NCCC located at corner McArthur and Maa Highway to look at a few stuff. I ended up buying 5 items during that visit. Hahahaha.

There was no intention, at all, for me to shop considering that I shopped a lot during my trip to Bangkok last September. But I just couldn't resist the low prices that these babies had.

Here are the stuff that I bought

Tribal Flats

Owl Flats. I just had to! I am in love with anything that has an owl on it. HOOOT!

Jeans. Hurray for a new pair. The last time I bought myself a pair of jeans was last year.

Checkered Hoodie for my lazy to dress up days.

Nice Hoodie

And all these for only 1200 pesos -  an average of 240 pesos per item. Not bad.

I actually was eyeing on a top too. But I forgot to put it inside my basket. I'll come back for it maybe tomorrow. I hope it is still there. Hahahaha..

OOTD: Dressing down with a kimono

WHAT I WORE: White with black stars kimono, Cream Sleeveless Top, Gray faded denims and my all time favorite overused yet still very functional Thrifted White Slippers.

In love with my Red and Nude Mermaid Gown

Okay so I have to share this with you

I am just soooooo in love with the Red and Nude Mermaid Gown I had  made by my good friend Maizy Colleen.

So to be honest it was really hard to walk and sit with it as the cut was made exactly for me and my figure but I was able to adjust to it anyway. And I just love every inch of it.

This was actually the first time I wore a mermaid gown. And my it was no joke. It really took me a while to get the hang of the dress. But then again, a little sacrifice is needed if one wants to look glamorous. And this dress was just beyond perfection.

And the designer? She is one of Davao City's newest but definitely has a bright future ahead of her when it comes to couture and fashion. One happy client here. Will be back again on her shop in the near future for sure.

Check her out on facebook... MAIZY COLLEEN is her name :)

Christmas in City Hall, Davao City

Last night, I was able to take time off to finally visit our City Hall located at Rizal and Quezon Park in San Pedro Street, Davao City which, by tradition, is decorated with all these colorful lights and others during the most wonderful time of the year.

Here are some snapshots I took during my short visit.

The watch tower so pretty at night :)

vendors selling all these battery operated flashing toys that a lot of kids and adults find fascinating

lights on trees that have a drop down effect. really pleasing to look at

our very own CITY HALL

there's an ambulance on stand by in case somebody needs medical attention

see those men in blue? also on stand by to keep peace and order. kudos!

ooooohhhhh... cotton candy!

more decorations

men in blue

okay so give time to notice the men under the watch tower. soldiers on the look out in case things get a little out of hand

I am not really sure if it is also like this in other cities as I have only spent all of my Christmases in Davao City. But I just feel so proud of how my city is and how our government is. The place is jampacked every night but nobody ever feels unsafe as they get to enjoy the lights and sounds of the park. Before the year ends, I will definitely go back and maybe just find a vacant spot and enjoy the lights, the crowd and the cool Christmas breeze at night.
